1. Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Feast)
When: First day of Shawwal (after the holy month of Ramadan)
Significance: Celebrates the end of fasting
Customs:
Morning prayers in mosques
Family gatherings and traditional meals
Giving Zakat al-Fitr (charity)
Children receive new clothes and gifts
2. Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice)
When: 10th of Dhul Hijjah (during Hajj season)
Significance: Commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son
Customs:
Eid prayers
Sacrificing sheep/cattle and distributing the meat
Visiting relatives and helping the poor
Pilgrims perform Hajj rituals in Mecca (Saudi Arabia)
